Our funding priorities are centered around sustaining our current impact and moving ahead. We will always be good stewards of the resources you trust with us.
Our Funding Pillars
-
Priority 1: Sustaining Operations | $1.5 million
These funds are allocated towards keeping our existing operations funded. In a way, this is our way to "keep the lights on". We believe that it is important that our growth campaign is all encompassing.
-
Priority 2: Brick x Brick Initiative | $3.5 million
The Brick by Brick Initiative is the groundbreaking land, building, and community space project. Funds will secure land and fund construction costs of a modern facility with extensive storage (dry and cold), community space, offices, restroom facilities, meeting rooms, and community collaboration spaces. As an investment into Western Kenosha County, it is our vision that The Sharing Center continues to be a hub for community-designed solutions that are sustainable and effective.
-
Community Programs + Rural Initiatives | $1 million
These funds are earmarked for expansion of current programs (added staffing, additional resources, more assistance capabilities). In addition to current programs, we’ll have resources to build more comprehensive (west-end focused) solutions on housing, workforce development, childhood hunger, and food insecurity. Additionally, funds will secure more tools, training, and design sessions to make our current and future programs tailored for pinpoint accuracy and scale. We will also be able to secure the research support to author an inaugural case study whitepaper on rural poverty, homelessness, and hunger in small to moderate communities. We will use this whitepaper to tell the story of how The Sharing Center has led in creative, unique, and effective ways to empower people to find solutions to issues and find purpose in their lives.
-
Priority 4: Housing for the Future | $2 million
These funds will be solely earmarked for future expansion of accessible housing programming developed by The Sharing Center. Some of the ideas include rehabbing the current site of The Sharing Center into a modest housing development for seniors and families, wraparound programming, and financial support for these programs. This priority is a long-range vision and may be altered as The Center identifies effective ways to address this community identified need.
